This combat handgun improves on the FNP™-45 Tactical which was developed for the U.S. Joint Combat Pistol Program. To enhance operator control and reduce felt recoil, the checkered polymer frame has been designed with a low-bore axis, and the grip angle adjusted to provide a natural point of aim that is unmatched; to enable quick customization of the grip feel, four interchangeable backstraps have been provided; and, to enable the integration of sound suppressors, compensators, and other accessories, the 5.3″ cold hammer-forged stainless steel barrel has been designed with a threaded muzzle. All operating controls on the Fn FNX™-45 are also fully ambidextrous for ease of use.
