The Daniel Defense DD5 rifle with superior suppression device; 16-inch, cold-hammer forged barrel; flared magazine well; DD glass-filled polymer buttstock and pistol grip; DD Mil-Spec trigger; free-float rail system; sling QD points; M-LOK attachment points; adjustable gas block; 4-bolt barrel connection system; and fully ambidextrous controls.

New for 2019, the DD5 takes DD’s line of rifles to the next level of long range precision with semi-automatic options.

This Daniel Defense DD5 V3 features a barrel made from Daniel Defense proprietary steel, cold hammer forged, with a chrome lined bore and heavy phosphate coating on the exterior. The barrel is also capped with DD’s Superior Suppression Device that is designed to bring both muzzle flash and muzzle rise to a minimum during rapid fire.

Also featured on the Daniel Defense DD5 with fully ambidextrous controls are upper and lower receivers that are CNC-machined from 7075-T6 aluminum and Type III hard coat anodized for optimal wear and corrosion resistance; a bolt carrier group that is DLC-coated to ensure optimized cycling and durability; a free-floated handguard with M-LOK attachment points and a full length top rail for the mounting of NV/thermal attachments, tac lights and lasers; as well as DD’s buttstock and pistol grip, both made of glass-filled polymer with soft touch overmolding.

The Daniel Defense DD5 308, shipped with one (1) 20-round Magpul magazine included, is currently available in three configurations: this V3 (7.62x51mm w/ 16” Barrel), the V4 (7.62x51mm or 6.5 Creedmoor w/ 18” Barrel), and the V5 (6.5 Creedmoor or .260 Remington w/ 20”). All configurations of the DD5 feature an adjustable gas block that allows for optimal gas regulation for suppressed and unsuppressed shooting.
