Now for sale at Mister Guns is the MBUS (Magpul® Back-Up Sight) – a folding backup sight that is color injection molded and quite affordable.

This spring-loaded flip up sight is adjustable for windage, easily activated from either side or by pressing the top, and can still be folded with either the large or small aperture in position. The Magpul MBUS Front Sight features protective wings that shield the dual, same plane flip apertures, as well as a detent knob that easily and positively adjusts windage.

The detent and spring pressure keeps this sight erect but allows for unobstructed folding under impact.

Made of an impact-resistant polymer material, the MBUS Front Sight is lightweight yet able to withstand operational abuse. While it is specifically tailored to the AR15 / M16 platform, it clamps to most MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rails, or to the STANAG 4694 receiver rail, and provides the same height-over-bore as standard A2 irons.

NOTE: The Magpul MBUS Front Sight Gen 2 cannot be mounted to a railed gas block due to excess heat issues. It must be mounted to a railed fore end on the same plane as the receiver rail. As a result, the sight is also not compatible with MOE Handguards.
