CRKT Provoke First Responder Black Grip Titanium Nitride Karambit Assisted Opening - 4042
4042 Details:
CRKT Provoke™ First Responder
The CRKT Provoke folding knife with D2 steel, hawkbill blade; chisel blade grind; plain blade edge; black titanium nitride blade finish; 6061-T6 aluminum handles; ceramic glass breaker; kinematic locking mechanism; tip-up, right carry pocket clip; and boltaron sheath.
Designed in Newbury Park, California by Joe Caswell, the CRKT Provoke morphing karambit is one unique knife that comes up strong when it's called in for duty.
Among the first to feature Kinematic™ technology, this knife comes with a hawkbill-style blade modelled after a traditional karambit, forged from premium D2 tool steel, and finished with a black titanium nitride coating for high durability and excellent edge retention. Thumb pressure on the upper crossbar of the CKRT Provoke opening mechanism sets the chain reaction in motion, causing the blade to lunge into action while you’ve got a firm grasp on the handle.
Also featured on the Provoke knife is a handle made of aircraft-grade 6061 aluminum for superior toughness; a tip-up, right carry pocket clip that sits almost completely flush with the handle and activated with light thumb pressure same as the opening mechanism; a ceramic glass breaker designed specifically with men and women in uniform in mind; and a CKRT Provoke sheath with numerous gear attachment options.
How Kinematic Works
Nudge the upper crossbar with your thumb—while the rest of your fingers firmly grasp the handle—and the blade lunges to life and locks into place. Shift the discreet lever at the base of the finger loop and the blade retreats into its closed position.
