CRKT M16 Desert Grip Titanium Nitride Tanto Partial Serration Assisted Opening - M16-14D
M16-14D Details:
CRKT M16
The M16-14D folding knife with AUS8 stainless steel, tanto blade; partially serrated blade edge; flipper blade opener; tan nitride blade finish; desert tan aluminum handles; LAWKS safety mechanism; liner locking mechanism; and 4-position pocket clip.
This variant of the CRKT M16 is a full-size working knife that, similar to other tactical folders designed by the late Kit Carson, is perfectly balanced, with every single detail serving a purpose.
It features a tanto blade that has been partially serrated for additional utility, such as the severing of stubborn materials that break down standard cutting edges. This AUS8 stainless steel blade has the “Carson flipper” extension which speeds up opening and acts as an additional blade guard, and one-hand opening or closing of the M16 knife blade is velvet smooth, thanks to the presence of Teflon¨ bearings at the pivot.
The 60-61-T6 aluminum handles featured on this folder offer a sure and comfortable grip with or without work gloves, and wears a desert tan finish to match the tan nitride coating on the blade. Present as well on the CRKT M-16 is a stainless steel locking liner with friction grooves, and this enables positive locking with limited access for superior safety.
This folder is rounded out with a four-way pocket clip for versatile carry in the tip-up/down, left/right positions.
