This variant of the 06 Auto is equipped with a tanto blade with the edge partially serrated for added utility; this blade is of high-quality stainless steel construction, is finished with the superior black oxide coating, and is made to withstand incredible abuse while retaining its edge.

Present as well on the Gerber 06 Auto knife is an oversized blade release button on the handle which allows use with gloves; a slide safety that engages in both the open and closed positions; and a 6061-T6 aluminum handle contoured to provide the user with a comfortable and secure grip, as well as hard anodized to protect it against wear and abrasion.

Proudly made in Portland, Oregon, this fully-automatic folder is rounded out with a pommel designed as a strike point for emergency egress, a large lanyard hole within the pommel for attaching a 550 cord or webbing, and a pocket clip designed for tip up only carry of the Gerber Auto 06, but eligible for left or right hand carry options.
