The Grasshopper is another of Spyderco's micro-sized slip-joints popular for their functionality and ease of carry.

It comes equipped and ready for action with a drop point, plain edge, full flat-ground blade made of 12C27 stainless steel, in addition to a handle also of stainless steel construction. For additional thickness, consistent sharpness, and minimal corrosion, both the blade and handle are finished with black oxide.

The Spyderco slip joint Grasshopper knife does not feature a locking mechanism to hold the blade open, but instead relies on the resistant pressure at the pivot area when the blade is extended and being used.
