Taurus brings the G3 series pistols into the optic arena for 2021 with the release of the full-size G3 T.O.R.O. (Taurus Optic Ready Option), in response to the growing penchant for shooters to include micro red dots on their semi-autos, whether for personal defense, recreational shooting, or competition.

To enable you add your choice of micro red dot immediately without the expense of custom gunsmith work or "downtime" of your handgun, the slide of this Taurus G3 T O R O features a factory optic cut; and the system's design accommodates a broad range of popular optics on the market today, thanks to an ingenious interchangeable plate mounting system.

The proven polymer-frame profile has been maintained, but is now in a full-size configuration with an integrated Picatinny rail to which aftermarket accessories can be attached for optimal performance with the G3 TORO; generous stippling patches across the grip for maximum control and retention in any shooting condition; an ergonomic palm swell; and side-frame Memory Pads that provide quick, positive hand positioning.

More features of the Taurus TORO G3 include a slide with front and rear serrations for easy operation at all times; a 4-inch stainless steel barrel; a manual safety and slide release lever optimally positioned above the thumb for easy manipulation; and a sighting system that now includes a serrated steel rear sight along with a white dot steel front sight for fast target acquisition with the Taurus G3 T.O.R.O.

The crowning, refined element of this pistol is the 6-lb. trigger designed with a smooth take-up, a surprisingly crisp, clean break exceeding that of typical striker-fired pistol trigger performance, and a short reset that promotes quick, controlled follow-up shots.
