Kershaw Brawler Black Handle Black Tanto Blade Assisted Opening - 1990
1990 Details:
Kershaw Brawler
The Kershaw 1990 Brawler folding knife with 8Cr13MoV stainless steel, tanto blade; plain blade edge; black oxide blade finish; 3.25” blade length; flipper and dual thumbstud blade openers; SpeedSafe assisted opening technology; inset liner lock; black GFN handle; quad-carry pocket clip; lanyard hole; 7.125” overall length; and 3.9 oz. weight.
Following the footsteps of tactical and rescue knives designed to punch through tough materials with ease, the Brawler comes with a modified tanto blade made of 8Cr13MoV stainless steel and coated with the corrosion resistant, no-glare black oxide.
The grind (or what is called a swedge) at the top of this folder’s blade makes it more narrow, adding to its piercing power. In addition, the straight edge of the Kershaw 1990 blade offers excellent cutting capacity, is perfect for bearing down on a task, and can easily be resharpened.
This knife is also equipped with the popular SpeedSafe assisted opening technology which helps ensure that when you pull the flipper blade protrusion, or push out on the thumbstud built into the blade with one hand, the Kershaw SpeedSafe 1990 opens smoothly and quickly. And to ensure the blade stays securely open, a liner locking mechanism has been featured.
The black, glass-filled nylon (GFN) handle offers a sure grip and is drilled to accept a lanyard, and a four-position (tip-up/down, left/right) carry pocket clip is screwed to this handle for discrete and convenient carry of this Kershaw assisted opening knife.
