Kershaw Barstow Black Handle Blackwash Spearpoint Blade Assisted Opening - 3960
3960 Details:
Kershaw Barstow
The Kershaw 3960 Barstow folding knife with 8Cr13MoV stainless steel, spear point blade; double, plain blade edge; black oxide blackwash blade coating; 3” blade length; dual flipper blade opener; SpeedSafe assisted opening technology; liner lock; black GFN handle; deep carry pocket clip; 7” overall length; and 3.4 oz. (98 g) weight.
The Barstow is a slim, simple and direct folding dagger that offers a lot of value.
It comes ready for action with a straight spear point blade of 8Cr13MoV stainless steel construction, and this 3960 knife blade is sharpened on a single side, coated with black oxide to protect it and hide use scratches, and rounded out with Kershaw’s BlackWash coating for a non-reflective, “already-broken-in” look.
With the SpeedSafe assisted opening and the built-in dual flipper tabs protruding from the blade, the Kershaw Barstow 3960 can smoothly and quickly be opened from either side; and during use a stout steel liner equally coated with BlackWash provides a stout liner lock to secure the blade in place.
The handle sports glass filled nylon scales with heavy arrow-patterned texturing for an enhanced grip, and the tip-up, left/right reversible deep-carry pocket clip enables the Kershaw 3960 to ride low in the pocket.
With the notable exception of the Barstow’s tube spacers which are anodized in blue for a touch of subtle color and eye-catching interest, all the hardware is black, and the Kershaw Barstow Knife comes worthy of any pocket knife enthusiast’s collection.
