Daniel Defense M4A1 Upper

The M4A1 upper receiver group with FDE RIS II Picatinny quad rail; 14.5” cold hammer-forged barrel; DD extended flash suppressor; DD M4A1 RIS II handguard; DD rail panels; ambidextrous GRIP-N-RIP charging handle; and M16 profile bolt carrier group.

The Daniel Defense M4A1 upper comes featuring a cold hammer-forged barrel with a 14.5” M4 profile, paired with the flat dark earth colored RIS II Picatinny quad rail that has been in use since 2005 by US Special Operations Command (SOCOM) involved in the SOPMOD Block II program. Permanently attached to the barrel on this DD 14.5” upper is a DD flash suppressor made of 17-4 PH stainless steel and salt bath nitride-finished for enhanced wear and corrosion resistance.

To accommodate left as well as right-handed shooters, the GRIP-N-RIP charging handle on this DD M4A1 upper is designed to be independently ambidextrous, features heavy duty stainless steel roll pins, and Type III hard coat anodized just like the DD M4A1 RIS II handguard for durability. The DD rail panels are made from Santoprene, and are heat resistant to 300 F.

An M16 profile, Mil-Spec MP-tested, chrome-lined bolt carrier group comes standard with all Daniel Defense 14.5” upper receiver groups, and this BCG features a gas key that is properly staked. CNC-machined of 7075-T6 aluminum, the Mil-Spec upper receiver also sports indexing marks and M4 feed ramps.
