Featured on this model is a flat dark earth (FDE) frame and black slide, both made of superior stainless steel for strength and durability; checkered G-10 grips that offer a comfortable and secure hold in any situation; a National Match barrel for maximum accuracy; a Dual Spring Recoil System that is good at reducing felt recoil while extending recoil spring life; and a custom tuned trigger which performs admirably.

Very safe to use and carry, the Colt Custom 1911 also comes with 3 safety mechanisms, including an ambidextrous manual (thumb) safety switch; a beavertail grip safety; and a firing pin safety. Novak night sights are mounted on the slide to help you zero in on targets in poor lighting conditions, and a Picatinny rail makes it possible for your favorite shooting accessories to be installed for enhanced performance.
