This remarkable pistol comes ready for action with a 5-inch match grade barrel made of stainless steel and chambered in 45 ACP; a desert tan, stainless steel frame that is 1.28 inches wide; and a matte black, stainless steel slide with front serrations and custom tan engraving. Both the frame and slide of the Kimber Hero wear the superior KimPro II finish which offers outstanding additional resistance to chemicals, moisture, salt and UV light.

More features of this pistol include Kryptek® Highlander, composite grips; a crisp and clean-breaking, 4.0 – 5.0 lb. trigger made of aluminum; a manual (thumb), and an automatic (grip) safety for enhanced reliability; as well as green and red fiber-optic sights for faster target acquisition with the Kimber 1911 Hero.
