With inspiration from the Russian AK-47 and the Finnish Valmet RK 62 both of which are legendary, the IWI Galil family has been continuously improved over the last 50 years. This new Galil Ace Gen2 in pistol form is a continuation of the Galil ACE, which is based on the reliable mechanics of the original Galil rifle first developed by IMI in the late 1960’s.

Extremely reliable and highly accurate, the IWI Galil Ace Gen 2 has seen several improvements, including an 8.3-inch cold hammer-forged, chrome-lined barrel; a milled steel receiver with a reciprocating charging handle installed on its left side to allow for weak hand operation; a free-float M-Lok handguard with slots at 3,6, and 9 o’clock positions; and a side folding adjustable telescoping buttstock with M4 stock compatibility.

On the Galil Ace Gen2 7.62x39 both the trigger profile as well as shorted safety profile and throw have been updated. A full-length, 2-piece Picatinny-style top rail has been factory-installed, and this provides enough real estate for mounting aftermarket accessories such as scopes, lights and lasers which in certain situations enhance performance; and adjustable night sights with a tritium post provide fast target acquisition with the Ace Galil Gen 2.

Significant weight reduction has been achieved on this pistol with the use of modern polymers. One (1) 30-round, Magpul MOE AK/AKM PMAG magazine is included in the package, and the firearm is compatible with AK-47 magazines.
