The IWI Galil family has been continuously improved over the last 50 years thanks to inspiration from the Russian AK-47 and the Finnish Valmet RK 62, both legendary firearms. This new Galil Ace Gen2 in pistol form is a continuation of the Galil ACE, which is based on the reliable mechanics of the original Galil rifle first developed in the late 1960’s by IMI.

Impressively accurate and very reliable, the IWI Galil Ace Gen 2 is outfitted with an 8.3-inch cold hammer-forged, chrome-lined barrel; a milled steel receiver with a reciprocating charging handle installed on its left side to allow for weak hand operation; a free-float M-Lok handguard with slots at 3,6, and 9 o’clock positions; and a side folding adjustable telescoping buttstock with M4 stock compatibility.

Both the trigger profile as well as shorted safety profile and throw have been updated on the Galil Ace Gen2 7.62x39. A full-length, 2-piece Picatinny-style top rail has also been factory-installed, and this provides enough real estate for mounting aftermarket accessories such as scopes, lights and lasers that enhance performance in certain situations; and adjustable night sights with a tritium post provide fast target acquisition with the Ace Galil Gen 2 in low light conditions.

With the use of modern polymers, significant weight reduction has been achieved on this pistol. The firearm is compatible with AK-47 magazines, and one (1) 30-round, Magpul MOE AK/AKM PMAG magazine is included in the box.
