A light weight, full size pistol chambered for the flat-shooting .22Magnum cartridge (.22WMR), the PMR30 Keltec operates on a unique hybrid blowback/locked-breech system which allows for the use of a wide variety of ammunition as it seamlessly adjusts between locked breech and blowback operation, depending on the pressure of the cartridge.

Featured on the Keltec PMR30 is an aluminum alloy frame; a grip, slide cover, trigger, magazine, mag release, and safety levers all made of glass reinforced nylon (Zytel), much like on other Kel-Tec Pistols; a 4.3-inch barrel and blued slide, both made of 4140 steel; a urethane recoil buffer with captive coaxial recoil springs; dual opposing extractors for reliability; a Picatinny accessory rail under the barrel; and fiber optic sights which make the PMR 30 Keltec ideal for target shooting and hunting small game.

The slide locks back after the last shot and a manual slide lock lever is provided; the trigger is a crisp single action with an over-travel stop; the manual safety is a thumb activated ambidextrous safety lever (up for SAFE, down for FIRE);.and the double stack magazine features round count ports, as well as boasts a new design that holds 30 rounds and fits completely in the grip of the Kel Tek PMR30 pistol.

A heel magazine release is provided to aid in magazine retention, and the PMR30 disassembles for cleaning by removal of a single pin.
