The OSS HX QD 556 Silencer with 136 -139 dB sound reduction rating; full auto rating; titanium/17-4 stainless steel material; black color; cerakote finish; 1.6” diameter; QD mount style; and muzzle brake kit.
Focusing strongly on maximum sound performance, the HX-QD 556 is ideal for shooters who are more concerned with maximum suppression over size and weight, and the optimal choice for the widest range of 5.56 caliber rifles.
The patented Flow-Through® technology of this silencer redirects the expanding gasses in a helical pattern, allowing the gas to expand and cool as they move through the silencer body; this unique design also means that the expanding gas generates torque on the silencer, keeping the HX QD 556 snug on the mount. The proven Flow-Through® tech is also focused on the need to not increase back pressure (or blowback) like a traditional baffle stack might.
When it comes to durability, the OSS Suppressor 556 is built with a full-auto rating and easily passes the USSOCOM reliability stress test; in other words, it is built for abuse. The silencer is in addition tested to impact bolt cycle speed less than 5% over a baseline, therefore muzzle rise and recoil are more easily managed, and weapon malfunctions are minimized.
