An evolution of the best-in-class Applegate-Fairbairn folder, the Gerber Covert knife features a partially serrated, spear point blade coated with black oxide to help maintain sharpness and reduce corrosion; in addition to a black handle made of Type III anodized 6061 aluminum.

The handle of the Gerber Covert sports grooved lines that help the user maintain a secure grip, and carry options are provided by a lanyard hole on the back as well as the black pocket clip in the tip up position for right handers.

This Gerber Covert Auto S30V is rounded out with a slide safety switch and a plunge locking mechanism that locks the blade in the open position, and this works by using the spring-loaded button on the handle.
