The FN 509 Tactical pistol with compact polymer frame; 4.32-inch cold-hammer-forged, 1/2” x 28 threaded barrel; steel slide; suppressor height Trijicon 3-dot green tritium night sights; FN Low Profile Optics Mounting System™; non-manual safety; Mil-STD 1913 accessory rail; loaded chamber indicator (LCI); polymer grip; 5.5 - 7.7 lb. trigger pull; double-action hammer; 10, 12 or 24-round magazines; and FDE finish.

The FN 509® Compact Tactical is the smallest and most concealable, yet powerful 9mm tactical pistol available on the market.

It comes featuring a polymer frame with replaceable steel frame rails; a polymer grip with interchangeable backstraps that allow the shooter to adjust for their preferred grip size, and enhanced texturing for better recoil management; a stainless steel barrel that features a recessed target crown, polished chamber and feed ramp, and is threaded to allow for easy addition of a silencer, muzzle brake, or compensator; and a steel slide with an external extractor, a safety-enhancing loaded chamber indicator that provides visual indication when there is a round in the chamber, as well as improved front and rear cocking serrations for easy manipulation in all conditions.

An ingenious blend of the best features of the FN America's 509 Compact with that of the 509 Tactical, the optics-ready 509 FN FDE Tactical pistol is outfitted with a new, flatter faced trigger offering a more controllable trigger press and cleaner break, a fully ambidextrous slide stop lever and magazine release, a MIL-STD-1913 accessory rail for mounting accessories like lights and lasers, suppressor height Trijicon 3-dot green tritium night sights for better targeting, and the FN Low Profile Optics Mounting System™ which enables the platform to accept more than ten commercially-available, miniature red dot (MRD) optics that co-witness with the suppressor-height night sights while remaining adaptable to future optics releases with no requirement of direct milling of the slide.

Chambered in 9mm and packaged with the standard 10- or 12-round magazines, this striker-fired autoloader pistol also accepts without a hitch, all higher capacity FN 509 magazines, such as the 24-round extended magazine. Included in the compact FN 509 Tactical package are two interchangeable backstraps, a locking device, an FN logo soft pistol case, and an owner’s manual.
