Though a tack-driver at the range, the Enhanced Commander Pistol is a handgun that is compact enough for concealed carry.

The Dan Wesson 1911 9mm comes equipped with a compact, tri-topped slide featuring aggressive side serrations for positive finger traction as well as a top rib for glare reduction, in addition to a 4-inch bull barrel that is popular with competitive shooters as it absorbs vibration better, and also reduces recoil due to its heaviness. To enable easier disassembly, the bull barrel is flush-cut and features a 30-degree crown. With a similar recoil system to the ECO, this pistol has a flat wire recoil spring underneath the barrel, and this spring is rated for 15,000 rounds – three times the round count of a typical 1911 dual recoil spring setup.

Also outfitted on the Dan Wesson ECP 9 pistol is a rugged frame forged from aluminum; Dan Wesson’s new, tapered G10 grips which, together with the bobtailed frame, enhances the pistol’s ergonomics to afford shooters with smaller hands an easier reach to the trigger; brass front, u-notch rear contrast sights for enhanced target engagement; and a thumb as well as grip safety mechanism for safe use/carry.

This ECP variant is chambered in 9mm, ships with one (1) magazine of 8 rounds, and is not just an ideal 1911 for everyday carry, but is also the Best Dan Wesson 1911 pistol.
