The MBUS (Magpul® Back-Up Sight) – a folding backup sight that is color injection molded and quite affordable – is now available at Mister Guns.

This Magpul MBUS Front Sight features protective wings that shield the dual, same plane flip apertures, as well as a detent knob that easily and positively adjusts windage. The spring-loaded flip up sight is adjustable for windage, easily activated from either side or by pressing the top, and can still be folded with either the large or small aperture in position.

While it allows for unobstructed folding under impact, the detent and spring pressure keeps the sight erect.

Lightweight yet able to withstand operational abuse due to its impact-resistant polymer construction, the MBUS Front Sight is specifically designed for the AR15 / M16 platform, but clamps to most MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rails, or to the STANAG 4694 receiver rail, and provides the same height-over-bore as standard A2 irons.

Included in the package is an elevation adjustment tool, but you may still use most aftermarket A2 front sight adjustment tools.

*NOTE: The Magpul MBUS Front Sight Gen 2 cannot be mounted to a railed gas block due to excess heat issues. It must be mounted to a railed fore end on the same plane as the receiver rail. As a result the sight is also not compatible with MOE Handguards.
