The Gen M3 PMAG Magazine with 30-round capacity; polymer housing; redesigned bolt catch notch; over-travel stop; stainless steel spring; 4-way anti-tilt follower; constant-curve internal geometry; pop-off impact/dust cover; low profile ribs; aggressive front & rear texture; Paint Pen Dot Matrix; flared polymer floor plate; and coyote tan color.

In addition to an expanded feature set and compatibility, the GEN M3 incorporates new material technology and manufacturing processes for enhanced strength, durability, and reliability to exceed rigorous military performance specifications. This GEN M3 30 round 5.56x45 NATO/ .223 Remington magazine is optimized for Colt-spec AR15 and M4 platforms, but modified internal and external geometry also permits operation with a range of additional weapons such as the HK® 416/MR556A1/M27 IAR, British SA-80, FN® SCAR™ MK 16/16S, and others.

Featuring a constant-curve internal geometry, a four-way anti-tilt follower, and, similar to the MOE PMAG, a durable stainless steel spring, the Magpul Gen M3 Magazine provides reliable feeding. The over-travel stop on the spine ensures the magazine will not over-insert on compatible weapons; a redesigned bolt catch notch in the rear of the magazine provides increased bolt catch clearance; and in all environments, aggressive front and rear texturing gives you positive control of the mag.

The flared floorplate is designed for simple tool-less disassembly for ease of cleaning. Slightly slimmer than before for better compatibility with tight double and triple magazine pouches, the Magpul Gen M3 PMAG floor plate aids extraction and handling of the magazine, and also offers improved drop protection.

A pop-off Impact/Dust Cover that can optionally be used to minimize debris intrusion and protect against potential damage during storage and transit, and a paint pen dot matrix added to the bottom panel of the body to allow easy marking by the end user for identification, round out the PMAG Gen M3 Magazine.
