With a name gotten from the shield handed down by Zeus in Greek mythology, the Aegis Elite Custom (OI) comes lightweight and easy to carry.

This 1911 by Kimber was built with performance as the main goal. In addition to iron sights, the Aegis Kimber comes factory-installed with a milled Vortex Optics Venom, 6MOA red dot sight for enhanced target acquisition, and this is mounted on Co-witness White-dot optic plate. For continued visibility through the Vortex Venom, the iron sights have been elevated.

Unlike other 1911s, this handgun boasts a slim grip and compact design which make it more ideal for everyday carry. The black slide and silver frame contrast nicely with one another, and the green, black and grey G10 grips with 24LPI (lines-per-inch) front strap checkering complete the nice looks of the Kimber Aegis Elite Custom. The heavy duty stainless steel frame comes with a rounded heel, and the slide sports distinctive rear and forward Aegis Elite X (AEX) slide serrations.

A 5-inch match grade barrel chambered in 9mm; a premium aluminum trigger with an approximate 4-5 lb. factory setting; a manual (thumb), and an automatic (grip) safety mechanism for safe EDC; and (1) 8-round magazine complete the Kimber Aegis pistol package.
