Designed and manufactured in Heckler & Koch's Oberndorf, Southwest Germany factory to meet the definition of a civilian sporting pistol (hence the "SP" prefix), the HK SP5 is a semi-automatic firearm very similar to the well-known MP5 submachine gun.

Foremost among the primary features of this handgun is the roller-delayed blowback operating system renowned for the accuracy, reliability, and smooth shooting dynamic it offers. This HK SP5 for sale at Mister Guns retains many of the critical features of the MP5, such as its precision machined components including a Navy barrel with threaded tri-lug adaptor, a paddle magazine release, and a fluted chamber.

More components of the H and K SP5 are a safety selector switch; fixed front, adjustable target rear sights for more efficient target engagement; and an elastic "bungee" sling for more comfortable shooting, more stability, and less fatigue. This sling can be quickly and easily installed by snapping it onto the sling swivel hardware located on the rear of the receiver.
