Purpose-built to be safe and easy to operate, the Smith & Wesson M&P Shield EZ is a 9mm pistol featuring a lightened slide that is easy to rack due to reduced recoil-spring tension, a magazine that is easy to load, an internal hammer that is easily cocked, prominent serrations at the rear of the slide which allows shooters to pull it back with minimal strength when they need to quickly load or clear the weapon, and an 18-degree grip angle and textured grip areas that enable instinctive shooting and provide superb control. The M&P Shield EZ also comes with a single-piece, single-action trigger that has a consistently crisp light pull, with an audible and highly tactile reset; a tactile loaded chamber indicator that can be seen or felt; as well as low-profile, 2-dot sights that aid in rapid sight acquisition, and a rear sight that adjusts for windage. This pistol ships with two (2) single-stack 8-round magazines that utilize a load-assist button to ease tension on the loader's thumb. The black Armornite® finish used on the stainless steel slide and polymer frame make this M&P Shield EZ Semi-Auto Pistol extremely resistant to the corrosive effects of sweat and humidity when the gun is carried close to the body.
