It boasts a high-quality tanto blade of D2 steel construction, and by the side of the handle is a control switch which smoothly and speedily deploys or retracts this blade when pushed or pulled. This FS-X auto knife also features a handle fully CNC-machined of aviation grade, 6061-T6 aluminum.

For emergency purposes a glass breaker has been included at the tip of the handle, and the Medium FS-X can be carried comfortably in either the left or right hand side pocket, thanks to an ambidextrous pocket clip.
