The Dan Wesson 1911 Specialist pistol with forged stainless steel frame; black & brown G10 grips; 5” barrel; stainless steel slide; fixed night front, tactical rear sights; manual thumb and grip safety; single action trigger mechanism; 8-round magazine; and Duty black finish.

The Specialist is a full-size 1911 designed for the rigors of law enforcement and loaded with features to satisfy a public servant’s special requirements.

This pistol’s slide is made of forged stainless steel and comes with cocking serrations, a rear sight with a single amber tritium dot and a front sight consisting of a green lamp with a white target ring in front, as well as the manufacturer’s inverted top rib between the sights to assist with glare reduction.

Featured in addition on the Dan Wesson Specialist is a frame also forged from stainless steel; a set of G10 VZ Operator II grips that force the hand into the beavertail and hold it there; 25 LPI front strap checkering, an undercut trigger guard and a recessed slide stop to enable the installation of laser grips; an integral 1913 Picatinny for mounting aftermarket accessories like a light or laser; and a manual thumb safety paired with a grip safety mechanism for safe use/carry.

This Dan Wesson 1911 Specialist variant wears a hardy Duty Black finish, is chambered in .45 ACP, and ships with two (2) 8-round magazines included. It also features an extended magazine release and a detachable magwell, making it more operator-friendly.

Though it was designed for law enforcement, the features of this handgun also make it suitable for home defense; and, while it’s a full-size pistol, you can also carry the Dan Wesson Specialist concealed.
