The Spiderco Dragonfly folding knife with VG-10 stainless steel, drop point blade; plain blade edge; satin blade finish; ambidextrous thumb hole opener; backlock locking mechanism; Zome green fiberglass reinforced nylon (FRN) handle; and left/right tip-up wire clip.

The classic Dragonfly pocketknife has undergone a series of upgrades, refining some notable features while leaving the important basics untouched. The result is the Dragonfly 2.

The features of this folder that have been untouched include the premium, mid-sized VG-10 drop point blade that is tried and tested; the blade-to-handle geometry and leveraging points which make the Spyderco Dragonfly cut and feel like a much larger knife; a front-finger choil and spine cusp; and an ergonomic handle featuring fiberglass reinforced nylon.

In terms of refinements, the blade now features a high-performance flat-grind with a PlainEdge or SpyderEdge; the position of the enlarged Spyderco Round Opening Hole in relation to the pivot leads to smooth opening of the blade; and the screw-together handle now features Spyderco Dragonfly 2 scales wearing a hand-dyed Zome green color. Various colors of dye are hand brushed onto the handle to create distinctive patterns, and these dyes completely permeate and permanently color the FRN.

Also featured on the handle is the patented Bi-Directional Texturing, and a series of grip angles and leveraging spots, all resulting to a hand fit that is ergonomic.
