A hallmark of Kimber quality, the Kimber Pro Carry 2 (Two-Tone) Commander model comes with a 4-inch barrel that distinguishes it from other 1911 variants; a full-sized, satin silver, aluminum frame machined from a solid steel block to increase strength and durability; nice-looking grips made of Rosewood that is half-smooth and half-checkered for firm control even in the most adverse conditions; and a steel slide wearing a matte black, brush polished finish. This slide is made to the tightest allowable tolerances.

The Kimber Pro Carry II Stainless also incorporates an aluminum 3-hole, standard trigger with a smooth crisp trigger pull and well-controlled recoil; as well as a skeletonized hammer with full-sized thumb safety and magazine release for positive control and smooth operation. The thumb safety is backed up by a beavertail grip safety to make the pistol even safer for EDC; and the provided fixed low profile sights enable rapid target acquisition with the Kimber Pro Carry II 45.
