The A400 Extreme Plus that features Beretta's exclusive Steelium Plus barrel with a step rib is now for sale at Mister Guns; this 28-inch barrel is a first for hunting shotguns, and provides the best patterning possible from all hunting loads, in addition to further felt recoil mitigation.

Regarded as the next step in the evolution of the world's softest shooting waterfowl shotgun, the Beretta A400 Xtreme also comes with a synthetic stock now featuring a soft comb that reduces the felt recoil imparted to the shooter's cheek even further; a 2-position crossbolt safety; Optima HP extended choke; as well as an integral mid-bead and fiber optic front bead sight on the barrel rib in order to, in all conditions, ensure the proper fit and sight picture.

Further enhancing the Beretta A400 Extreme is the addition of an extended charging handle and bolt release from the factory to allow for easier manipulation during the coldest and rainiest days, as well as an enlarged loading port to allow for easier loading in adverse conditions.
