Unusually long for a handgun, the barrel of this firearm delivers unmatched accuracy with a right hand, hexagonal barrel rifling. The slide under which this barrel is housed is accurately balanced and slotted, and this design feature helps to reduce muzzle flip.

Also featured on the Glock G17L is an adjustable sight for better targeting; a long sight radius for finer alignment with the target and enhanced accuracy; a slightly lighter (4.5-pound) trigger pull for superior precision; and the revolutionary Glock Safe Action system – a safe, simple, and fast system which provides a consistent trigger pull from the first to the last round, and which also lets you concentrate fully on shooting without performing any additional actions to disengage and reengage safeties.

Bear in mind that this Safe Action system on the Glock 17L Gen 3 consists of three passive, independently operating, mechanical safeties that sequentially disengage when the trigger is pulled and automatically re-engage when the trigger is released.
