An optics-ready evolution of the FN 509 Midsize pistol, this mid-size FN 509 for sale at Mister Guns is designed to be easily concealable while still providing full-size 9mm handgun performance. Built on the proven architecture of the FNS™ Compact and further developed with help from the weapons experts at FN America, it is almost a half inch shorter than the standard FN 509, which makes it easier to conceal while still allowing for a full pistol grip.

The 509 FN pistol is equipped with – in addition to all-black co-witness iron sights – the FN Low Profile Optics Mounting System™ that enables the platform to accept more than ten commercially-available, miniature red dot (MRD) optics that co-witness with the suppressor-height night sights while remaining adaptable to future optics releases with no requirement of direct milling of the slide.

Reliable and durable, the 509 MRD pistol features in addition a polymer frame with replaceable steel frame/slide rails; a black polymer grip with interchangeable backstraps featuring enhanced texturing for better recoil management and faster follow-up shots in all conditions; a cold hammer-forged, stainless steel barrel with recessed target crown, polished chamber and feed ramp; and an easily-racked steel slide with an external extractor, improved front and rear cocking serrations for easy manipulation, and a safety-enhancing loaded chamber indicator that provides visual indication when there is a round in the chamber.

Rounding out the FN 509M package is a new, flatter faced trigger that allows for more controllable trigger press and cleaner break, a fully ambidextrous slide stop lever and magazine release easily accessible to both right and left-handed users, and a MIL-STD-1913 accessory mounting rail for attaching accessories like lights and lasers.

Shipped with the striker-fired FN 509 9mm pistol that is compatible with all FN 509 magazines and available for commercial, law enforcement, and military use are two (2) 15-round or 10-round high-visibility magazines each with a low-friction follower and a polymer base plate. In the FN MRD box you will also find two interchangeable backstraps, a locking device, an FN logo soft pistol case, and an owner’s manual.
