It comes ready for action with a one- piece walnut grip that is plain, smooth, and fills the shooter’s hand with the perfect arc that made the original Single Action Army (SAA) renowned for its pointing and gun-fighting capabilities; a brass backstrap and trigger guard that displays a texture which adds to the Uberti 45 Colt revolver’s nostalgic looks; a steel, case-hardened frame that is extremely strong and durable; a 4.75-inch barrel with right twist; a 6-shot cylinder that is fluted to reduce weight, increase rigidity and make the barrel less likely to overheat; and a blade front sight to help you target better.

A retractable firing pin safety is also a feature of the Cattleman 45 Colt. It is common knowledge among cowboys that the safest way to carry a single-action is with the hammer resting on an unloaded chamber. This is true even for the Uberti retractable firing pin design; in this case however, the risk of accidental discharge is reduced because the firing pin is not locked into the firing position unless the trigger is pulled.
