The M&P Shield is a striker-fired pistol that packs the power and features of Smith & Wesson’s full sized M&P M2.0 pistols into a slim, lightweight and very easily concealed chassis.

Offering professional grade features with simple operation and reliable performance anytime, the Smith Wesson Shield 2.0 is equipped with a very compact, yet rugged and durable polymer frame with an embedded stainless steel chassis that is extended and rigid for reduced flex and torque when firing, an easily-operated, stainless steel slide, and a stainless steel barrel only 3.6 inches long. This barrel offers a 1 in 10” twist rate, as well as a low bore axis for reduced muzzle rise, faster aim recovery, and shooting comfort. It is also finished with Armornite® just like the slide to ensure maximum protection against corrosion and wear.

Also featured on the Smith & Wesson M&P Shield 2.0 is an optimal 18-degree grip angle that promotes a natural point of aim; a polymer grip with four palmswell grip inserts (S, M, ML, L) that are interchangeable to offer an optimal hand fit and easy trigger reach; an aggressive grip texture for enhanced control in any condition; factory-installed white dot front, white 2-dot rear sights for quick target acquisition; a new and crisp M&P M2.0 trigger with a lighter pull and a more tactile and audible reset; a manual thumb safety on one side; as well as a passive trigger and striker block safety mechanism for safe carry and use.

Rounding out the package is a patented take-down lever and sear deactivation systems that allow you to disassemble the gun for cleaning/maintenance without having to pull the trigger.
