For more versatility, the Glock 17 Gen 5 comes with a new frame design lacking finger grooves, but still lets you customize its grip easily by using the different back straps provided. A cutout at the front of the frame gives the user more speed during reloading when fractions of a second matter.

The 4.5-inch barrel featured on this G17 Gen 5 pistol is chambered in 9mm, with the rifling and crown slightly modified for increased precision; while the steel slide sports front serrations for positive finger traction in any situation, and an nDLC black finish that enhances durability. Also featured is a reversible and enlarged magazine catch, changeable at user level, as well as an ambidextrous slide stop lever, and both accommodate left and right-handed operators.
