Built to operate on a short recoil, delayed blowback system that yields faster cycle times and exceptional accuracy, this pistol features a chrome-lined barrel that is extremely corrosion resistant and easy to clean, and the barrel sports a deeply recessed combat muzzle crown to protect the rifling.

Also featured on the Baretta 92FS is a lightweight, forged frame made from extremely strong aircraft-quality aluminum alloy; a visible and automatic firing pin block which proper operation is easy to ascertain at any time; a tactile LCI which extractor protrudes slightly to show a red indicator when a round is chambered; and an open top slide that virtually eliminates jamming and stove piping while allowing the user to load and chamber one cartridge at a time in case of a lost or damaged magazine.

The slide of this FS 92 Beretta wears Beretta’s exclusive Bruniton™ non-reflective black coating which is a superior corrosion and wear resistant finish, and mounted on it are white 3-Dot contrast sights with the rear sight designed to provide a front projection so that in an emergency, the user may retract the slide single-handedly by pushing the rear sight against the edge of a table, door, etc.

The ambidextrous safety lever (which also functions as the pistol’s decocking lever) is easily accessible by the thumb of a right or left handed shooter, and is spring loaded so that it’s either positively on or off.

This Beretta 92 FS pistol ships with a high-capacity magazine of 15 rounds included, and the reversible magazine release provided is positioned next to the trigger guard for either right or left-handed shooters, making rapid reloading possible. A disassembly latch is also present on the handgun to simplify field stripping for maintenance by allowing quick and easy disassembly, and it stays on the gun, preventing accidental dropping and loss.
