The Aegis Elite Custom (OI) is a lightweight and easy to carry 1911 by Kimber, and its name is gotten from the shield handed down by Zeus in Greek mythology.

Designed with performance as the main goal in mind, the Aegis Kimber – in addition to iron sights – comes standard with a milled Vortex Optics Venom, 6MOA red dot sight for fast sight acquisition, and this is mounted on Co-witness White-dot optic plate. The iron sights have been elevated to still have visibility through the Vortex Venom.

This pistol, unlike other 1911s, also features a slim grip and compact design which make it more ideal for EDC; the black slide and silver frame contrast nicely with one another, and the green, black and grey G10 grips with 24LPI (lines-per-inch) front strap checkering complete the nice looks of the Kimber Aegis Elite Custom. The slide sports distinctive rear and forward Aegis Elite X (AEX) slide serrations, and the heavy duty stainless steel frame comes with a rounded heel.

More features of this 1911 include a premium aluminum trigger that offers excellent and reliable performance; in addition to a manual (thumb), and an automatic (grip) safety mechanism both of which make the Kimber Aegis one of the safest 1911s.

Boasting a 5-inch match grade barrel chambered in .45 ACP, the pistol ships with one (1) 8-round magazine included.
