Based on the much loved Shield® series, the Smith & Wesson M&P Shield Plus is the next generation in everyday carry.

Coming to features, this striker-fired pistol that is built on a rugged polymer frame comes with a stainless steel barrel just 3.1 inches long; and, like the equally stainless steel slide, this barrel is finished with Armornite® to ensure it does not succumb to the effects of corrosion.

Featuring a polymer grip with interchangeable backstraps for optimal hand fit, an enhanced grip texture that allows the user to manage recoil and keep a firm grip, and an 18-degree grip angle for a more natural point of aim and better recoil management, the Smith and Wesson M&P 9mm Shield Plus is also outfitted with white dot front, white 2-dot rear sights for better target engagement; manual (thumb) safety for safe carry; and a new flat face trigger that allows for consistent finger placement which is necessary to achieve accurate, repeatable, and comfortable shooting. This trigger, expectedly, offers a tactile and audible reset.

The Smith Wesson M&P Shield Plus patented take-down lever and sear deactivation systems allow you to disassemble the pistol without pulling the trigger, and its extremely thin and lightweight build makes it a firearm that can be comfortably carried all day.

Because the M&P maintains the basic dimensions of the Shield 2.0 but offers more capacity, the Smith and Wesson M&P Shield Plus magazine is able to take up to 13 rounds. An extended magazine that offers 13+1 round capacity, as well as a more concealable, flush-fit 10 round magazine is shipped with this S&W Shield Plus, and the pistol is backed by the manufacturer’s Lifetime Service Policy.
