The CZ Bren 2Ms is the next generation of the Bren, and made first landfall in the US in pistol form with multiple barrel lengths and two chamberings.

Featuring a clean-sheet design with a bevy of changes, this handgun has been made noticeably lighter, yet more robust with an aluminum receiver that has been trimmed-down and a lower made from carbon fiber-reinforced polymer.

Other components of the Bren 2Ms include a modular forend that can be swapped to different lengths; a flush rear plate with a provision for attaching an AR-style buffer tube for the installation of pistol stabilizing devices like an arm brace or cheek rest; as well as a charging handle that stays stowed in the forward position until it is needed, and is swappable from side to side to serve as a forward assist as well.

Right- as well as left-handed user-friendly, the CZ Bren 2 Ms features ambidextrous controls, including a manual safety, an AR-style bolt catch/release system, and a magazine release nestled into the front of the trigger guard. Chambered in .223/5.56×45, it ships with an AR-15/M16 magazine of 30 rounds included.

Bear in mind that the AR-15 style magazines are used for 223 variants, whereas in 7.62 the factory’s magazines are used to ensure last round hold-open and consistent feeding; all variants of this CZ Ben 2 pistol are swappable to different barrel lengths and chamberings; and a Carbine buffer tube and stock can be installed, or the entire rear plate removed and replaced with a factory folding/adjustable stock for users who wish to SBR.
