The Big Boy Steel Side Gate retains the same brush gun appeal of the brass-framed Big Boys in its overall configuration, but offers upgraded features for the modern hunter.

Also offered in .357 Mag/.38 Special, .44 Mag/.44 Special, this Side Gate model comes equipped with a 20-inch round barrel; a large-loop lever for gloved cold-weather use and extra style points; genuine American walnut fore-end and straight-wrist stock with fine checkering for a no-slip grip on the Henry Big Boy Steel rifle; as well as a range-adjustable semi-buckhorn rear, and a brass bead front sight for fast target engagement.

Present as well is an automatic in-hammer transfer bar safety, swivel studs, and the manufacturer’s best-of-both-worlds side loading gate and removable tube magazine configuration. Bear in mind that Big Boy rifles hold ten rounds in the tube, while carbines hold seven.

Traditional in appearance, pistol-caliber Big Boys like this Big Boy Steel Side Gate are drilled and tapped for optic mounts so that rapid target acquisition can be achieved with red dots, and longer reach with magnified scopes.
